I ordered an elliptical machine!  I pick it up in a week.  I researched elliptical machines and found one from Walmart.com that was a reasonable price and had positive reviews.  I didn't want anything too big or expensive in case we end up moving and need to sell/store it.  So hopefully this ones serves its purpose.  Now I need to give it a name.... a friend of mine on Spark has an elliptical named Ellie, lol.  Hmmm.....

I'm looking forward to the holidays and all the delicious food now that I have an elliptical to burn it off on.  :)   Everything in moderation.

Speaking of moderation - this picture speaks volumes:

250 pound woman vs 120 pound woman.

You can see on the outside somebody is overweight, but what about the inside? Do you see that white/yellow stuff around the thighs of both women? That is fat. Now, take a close look at the 250 pound women. Look at the fat that is surrounding her organs. You even can see fat around her heart.

Becoming fit isn’t just about your looks or gaining confidence. It’s about taking responsibility for your own health.

Random Thoughts on a Sunday....

We went to Old Navy today - 75% off most things in the store.  I got a few tank tops for $3, a couple shirts, a couple Christmas gifts and Lucas got a few things.  We spent about $80 but saved $110.  Win.

I made these:  Pumpkin Swirl Cheesecake Cupcakes - they were ok.  I'd like them a little sweeter which can be fixed by adding more vanilla next time.

I'm really itching to watch Elf - I looooooooooooooooove that movie!  But I am making myself wait until Thanksgiving.... I think.  No, I am.  I will.  I can wait. :)

We finally have our Halloween costumes together.  Lucas has one thing to finish on his but otherwise we're good to go for the partay.

Lastly - sounds like I might need to get the winter coat out this week.  I even heard the s-n-o-w word uttered.

Home from ghost hunting!   It was definitely an interesting experience.   Lucas will tell you he didn't see or feel a darn thing.  Sigh. I told him I hope a ghost scares the bejeezus out of him some day.   The the first 20-30 min of the tour are spent talking about the history of the theater and the next 30 are spent letting you take pictures, do EVP work, etc.  The theater was built in 1922 as a vaudeville theater.  Nothing "traumatic" happened at the theater to cause the hauntings.  They believe 2 of the spirits there (Red and Jim) were former workers and one of the ghosts (Mary) is a small girl who was found dead in the parking lot.  I'll post some pics I took though I don't see anything weird - there are some "orb" like things that are more than likely dust.

Our experiences:  My friend Lynda thought she saw a small shadow on the stage - this would make sense as the little girl Mary tends to be seen on stage and they keep a small red ball up there for her to play with.  Also, when we were standing on the stage looking up at the projection room the windows would black out - as if someone was walking up there.   When we first walked into the theater I feel that "hair on end feeling" for awhile and then it eventually went away.  They had a KII meter (which is suppose to light up when ghosts are around - they use them on Ghost Hunters all the time) - it lit up quite a bit.  There was a flashlight sitting on the table that Mary likes to play with.   They kept asking her to turn it off and finally right before we were going to leave it dimmed, then went really bright and then finally off.  Lucas thinks the battery went out or the lady hit the table.  Sigh.  :)

I would like to maybe go back sometime for the 3 hour ghost hunt (although its $60!).  We had some super annoying teenagers in our group - I think we would have more stuff going on if its a smaller group who weren't there to screw around.

Here are the pics:

Don't worry - those aren't ghosts.

Standing on stage facing the back doors.

An earlier group of people were seeing shadows along the wall.

This picture scared me at first LOL.  It was pitch black and I didn't know there was a damn ball up there until the picture showed up, ha.

A picture of the projection room windows that were dimly lit - you could see a shadow black out the windows moving left to right.

Five Question Friday!  TGIF!

1. Do you prefer your ice cream in a bowl or in a cone?
Hmm.... depends on the situation.  I like them both. :)

2. What three things do you love the smell of?
Fresh laundry, crisp fall leaves, and Lucas' cologne.  Rawr.

3. Giftcards or no? (In regards to gift giving...)
Yes and no.  Sometimes I prefer giving a gift card with something else small.  For example, a gift card for Caribou with a coffee mug.  Or a movie gift card with popcorn/candy and a DVD.  More like a gift basket. :)

4. What sports did you play in high school if any and do you still play them?
None.

5. Were you in band in high school? What instrument did you play?
Nope.  I couldn't carry a tune if I wanted.

Happy Tuesday!  Less than 100 days left of blogging daily.  Less than 100 days left of 2011.  74 days til Christmas.  Ok, I will shut my filthy mouth.

Any suggestions on what you'd like for me to blog about between now and then?  Recipes?  Fashion? Make up? Current events?  Restaurant Reviews?  Movie Reviews?  Ask me anything?  Let me know. :)

On another note - this weekend we're going ghost hunting!  No, really, we are....  we're going here:
http://www.realhauntedtours.com/   Should be fun!  I will of course blog about the experience.  :)

Peace, love, out as my dear friend Nurse Brown says.
